Juan A. Roca, CSSCS

Juan Roca has worked in the financial services sector for more than 30 years in various capacities. He was with General Electric Capital Corporation for many years, then more recently decided to shift into the financial advisory side of the industry so that he could help people prepare for retirement. In his role at Cetera Investors, he specializes in retirement planning, incorporating insurance and long-term care solutions.

Above all, Juan’s goal is to help people relieve financial stress by creating and implementing sound financial strategies. He understands the importance and impact of having a financial and insurance plan in place for a family. Education is an important part of how Juan serves his clients. He takes pride in helping people understand financial concepts—through his plain-English non-technical explanations, he gives them the tools for making informed decisions. Juan helps families address their financial needs across all life stages—saving and investing for education and other life events, protecting their families and loved ones, and planning a legacy, as well as creating retirement income strategies.

Juan builds solid relationships with his clients and enjoys seeing them retire on their own terms, prepared with savings to handle immediate needs and enough to allow them to fulfill other retirement goals. As retirement approaches, many complicated decisions arise; Juan has helped many employees of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and others, pursue a successful retirement. Juan also shares a wealth of information through the seminars and webinars he leads on a variety of topics, including Social Security and related retirement issues.

Originally from Cuba, Juan grew up in South Florida and graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Accounting. He holds Series 6, and 65 securities registrations and Florida's 2-15 insurance license, and specialized training and designation from the Corporation for Social Security Claiming Strategies. Outside the office he gives back to the community and supports future generations as a volunteer with Kapow, Kids and the Power of Work, where he helps students connect their strengths, skills and talents to future careers and opportunities. Juan lives in Lake Worth, Florida and in his free time indulges in his passion for cooking. A certified chef, he specializes in Spanish cuisine and enjoys preparing authentic paella and tapas for gatherings of family and friends.
